FIRST LEGO League Team 71229

Session 9 - 10/6 - Arborist

|

The team is doing a great job researching for our innovation project. We had a great conversation with Dr. Habib from Perdue last session on their backpack LIDAR scanner. We've made contact with someone in the U.S. Forest Service, and OK has reached out to a local dog trainer. RP found an engineering paper about a dog-based LIDAR scanner for search-and-rescue in buildings.

Today, we will hopefully have a local arborist stop by to teach us about tree measurements and their use in forestry.

Somewhere in all this research we need to get some robot game work done, too!

Several missions have been solved. As with last year, the next step will be polishing them off, consolidating our code, and working on our attachments, swaps, and sequencing. And, to improve upon last year's presentation, we should document those improvements. How many points are we scoring? What's are success rate? How long does it take to run each and all the missions?
